Brief.
Boots approached us with an ambitious challenge: to create and deliver the most significant launch in their 175-year history. The occasion marked the highly anticipated arrival of P. Louise into Boots stores nationwide, representing a major milestone for both brands and an opportunity to generate unprecedented excitement and visibility.
The objective was clear, create a launch moment that would be impossible to ignore. Boots required bold, disruptive ideas that would introduce the P. Louise brand to their customers in a way that reflected its vibrant personality while delivering maximum impact at every touchpoint.
The required scope included large-scale exterior facades across key flagship and high-footfall stores, immersive in-store experiences designed to drive engagement and discovery, and the development and rollout of a Bronze activation kit to 36 additional stores across the country.
The launch needed to capture attention, spark conversation, and establish P. Louise as one of the most exciting beauty brands to enter Boots, ensuring customers experienced the partnership in a way they would remember long after launch day.
Solution.
Backlash delivered a bold and immersive retail experience across multiple touchpoints, bringing the PLouise brand to life at scale.
A striking 3D pink castle installation transformed the front facade of Boots, creating an unmissable, show-stopping moment. The intricate design details and larger-than-life execution made the installation a standout feature of the launch.
Inside the Boots Covent Garden store, the Beauty Live Space underwent a complete transformation into a bespoke "Glam Thru" experience. Designed to maximise engagement, the space allowed the brand to hand out samples and use the area for pictures with the brands iconic owner Paige Louise.
Full vinyl facade takeovers were also installed at Boots Manchester Market Street and Meadowhall, taking the launch nationwide.
Custom-designed bronze kits were rolled out to 36 Boots stores nationwide. Featuring mirrored pink heart displays and bold brand messaging, the kits transformed beauty bar stations.
