Brief.
Kallo came to Backlash wanting a standout experiential space that would bring the brand and its products to life in a modern (never before done for them!), unexpected and highly interactive way.
They needed an experience that would help their new product, ‘Popped Corn Cakes’, burst onto the market with a POP. The aim was to position Kallo as the nation’s new favourite sofa-snacking brand.
They wanted a space full of energy that encouraged customers to try the product, discover more about Kallo and, most importantly, create a buzz around the launch.
Solution.
The Kallø Snack Lounge - A playful & stylish lounge-inspired pop-up where ordinary nights on the sofa turn into fun, feel-good moments of discovery.
We jumped into action and created a space full of energy that encouraged customers to try the product, discover more about Kallo and, most importantly, create a buzz around the launch.
Not only was this right up our street, but the colourful, vibrant feel of the packaging and brand identity allowed us to really explore how consumers could discover the brand and the new product in a super engaging way.
While queueing, visitors looked over a quiz card that broke down the new product flavours and profiled each one. This meant they could decide which flavour spoke to them, pick up a sticker and receive their chosen sample later!
The colourful lounge setup featured a real door, with guests posing for fun pictures before knocking and entering the main activation. A three-seater sofa filled the living room-inspired space, with a ‘rummage down the back of the sofa’ game as the star of the show. Guests could lean over the sofa and rummage through a box filled with sofa stuffing, with prizes hidden inside waiting to be won.
Lastly, and most importantly, guests could head around to the other side of the stand and sample the product at a bright, custom-built sampling bar. Packed with all six flavours, customers could choose which one they wanted to try and get stuck in!
